What this site is

Beyond The Limitations is a UK running site for people who have already started and want to go further. The focus is the stage after the first few weeks: building endurance, training towards a distance, breaking through a plateau, and staying consistent when motivation runs low.

Everything here is compiled and explained from reliable training and sports-science sources, written in plain English. It is not a coaching service, and there is nothing to buy from us. The aim is to make trustworthy, practical running information easy to find.

Who writes it

Articles are written by Denise Hendrix, a committed recreational runner who reads the research and writes it up for runners trying to get past the beginner stage. No coaching qualifications are claimed.
